No longer do you need to sacrifice luxury and style if you want an eco-friendly vehicle. The all-new, all-electric BMW iX proves that you can get the best of both worlds in one fantastic SUV.
Power and Performance
The power in the BMW iX is phenomenal. Its two electric motors combine to produce 516 horsepower, along with 564 lb.-ft. of torque. A one-speed automatic transmission is standard, as is all-wheel drive. This is a big vehicle, but it handles very nicely. It also offers an exceptionally smooth ride, especially if you opt for the self-leveling adaptive air suspension system.
Driving Range and Charging Time
When the battery in your BMW iX is fully charged, you’ll be able to go up to 300 miles, which is an excellent number for the class. With a regular 120-volt household-style power outlet, it takes about 100 hours to completely charge the battery. A 240-volt outlet cuts that to about 10.5 hours. With a DC Fast Charging station, you’ll be able to go from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 40 minutes. And in only 10 minutes, that battery at 10 percent can have 90 miles of range added.
Space and Comfort
The BMW iX is a two-row SUV that has a lot of space for up to five people. Power-adjustable and heated front seats and synthetic leather upholstery are standard. You can add cloth or genuine leather, ventilated and massaging front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Cargo space is ample: 35.5 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 77.9 cubic feet when they are down. A power liftgate is standard.
Tech
You’ll get a very easy to use infotainment system with the BMW iX with a 14.9-inch touchscreen. Other standard features include wireless device charging, USB ports, and satellite radio. Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and navigation are standard as well.
